As a teenager Sifu Mark Stas started his martial arts training alone in his room, inspired by Bruce Lee and anime at that time. He could join his first ‘official’ course from his parents in 1984 with Karate Shotokan which he practised many years. Because he loved kicking techniques so much, he was suggested to practise Taekwondo and switched to this Korean martial art. He competed successfully during his youth and participated at a World Championship in Italy, before moving to Germany to study the Chinese martial art, Wing Tsun for many years.
His dedication and passion led him to create his Wing Flow System after more than 34 years of martial arts practice.
“His performance in Italy at one of the most important events, the First Festival dell Budo in Torino left not only the organisers in awe:
his way of moving and his explosive movements took their breath away”
He revolutionised the world of Wing Chun with his excellent coordination, way of moving and extreme ability in linking his kicks, knees, punches and elbows, rarely seen in 2016. His videos had millions of views and shared numerous times on social media all over the world. He was invited in different countries over the world who were interested in his teachings. He became a pioneer of elbows and kicks within the Wing Chun and Jeet Kune Do world, and inspires so many martial artists with his precise flow and excellent martial mastery.

He was nicknamed the Belgian Bruce Lee on the ‘Swiss Canal Alpha‘, in a Walloon newspaper: ‘La Nouvelle Gazette‘, on the national Belgian television: ‘RTBF-La Une‘, the Flemish newspaper: ‘Nieuwsblad‘, Ring TV or even on the World Of Martial Arts TV.
Mark Stas is considered as one of the most complete Wing Chun instructors. His extreme mastery of coordination and body control, makes him one of the most admired and inspiring martial artists these days. He is well known for his unorthodox training methods (such as his innovative elastics kicking training which became an inspiration for many) and his excellent coaching style came to the ears of UFC fighters.
During his seminar in France, he left a deep impression with the participating instructors of the special forces in Lyon, who saw in his self defence a very practical in line with the law method, which they never seen before.
He received at the Martial Hero Award event with his Wing Flow System the most beautiful congratulation a martial artist could get from Peter Chin, who was the training partner of Bruce Lee, and one of only four students who received the official certificate from Bruce Lee.
